Grass seed should be sowed in spring or in the fall. but some find that fall is the best because of the weed factor. During the spring weeds grow faster than grass. If you have some bare soil and plant grass seed you will probably end up with a patch of weeds. Either time that you choose to sow be sure to give it plenty of water.
